I'm a Pittsburgh fan but i just can't see them winning it 3 years in a row. This is one rough sport to have that happen,in fact i don't know if it has been done before, but maybe someone else might know.

So i have Nashville to win it, along with ST.Louis who is fighting for the last playoff spot.

Who does everybody else have?...I'm not a overly huge hockey follower like the other sports(except the NBA)so i'd like to see other opinions from people who really watch it a lot.

My buddy Sharky would have a good take on it as he is really into hockey,...maybe he'll pop in and give his 2 cents

Seems so much changes in the NHL once the playoffs arrive.

I'm a Lightning fan but every time they suffer any type of injury, even if one guy, it seems to affect them & their game too much...

I follow the East rather closely.

IMO it's very top heavy this year, only the Lightning and Bruins have a chance...

Caps, Pens both down.
Blue Jackets, Maple Leafs aren't scary.

Maybe this is a bold statement, I think the Flyers have the potential to make noise but it's completely dependent on Elliott ability to come back from this injury.

West no Idea.

barring major injury or a rinne meltdown, Nashville will be very difficult to
beat this year. last year, the ducks and preds beat each other up real bad,
thus softening the preds enough for the 'guins to win. the most likely way
Nashville could do down this year, is if the jets do the same. the jets are
an incredibly physical and talented team (not that the predators aren't),
and if these two teams meet in round 2 expect an epic physical and cheap
shotting series. BTW the best person to ask is dinque.

It's been done before but not in a long time. I think Islanders, Canadiens, and Oilers have all done 5 in row or 4? Hasn't happened since the cap era started and the expansion in the 90's

Oilers never did 3 in a row, (4 in 5, 5 in 7) Islanders and Habs did 4 in a row 76-80, 80-84. Islanders won 19 straight playoff series a record never to broken! That being said Pens have a shot at three in a row if Murray could continue his playoff dominance over the past few seasons.

Once the playoffs start anything can happen in the NHL. The west is absolutely a crap shoot. I wouldn’t be shocked if any of the ten teams in playoff contention make the finals.

The east isn’t as hard to figure. Tampa, Boston, Pittsburgh, and Columbus, (as my dark horse), all have a shot. If Pittsburgh had Fleury between the pipes I’d like their chances better. Murray has really looked very ordinary all year long. I need to see something from Washington in the post season to believe in them. Holtby has been terrible this year. Toronto also lacks a quality goaltender. Philly and Jersey also lack goaltending and have a first round opponent of either Boston, Tampa, or Washington.

I took Boston at 20/1 in December and will stick with them. Their physicality is built for the playoffs. Their team chemistry has been exceptional. Nobody takes a shift off and play a 200 foot game. They have strength down the middle, Big Z is supported by a capable young defensive cast. Rask has been there before and owns a ring. While I doubt he wins the Vezina he certainly has the numbers to be mentioned.
